SHARON J. MEYERS

Ms. Meyers received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology in 1978 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 1981. She has been in private law practice since 1981, specializing exclusively in the area of Social Security disability law. She is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives, the Missouri Bar, and the National Lawyer's Association. She serves on the Board of Directors of the National Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia Association. She also serves on the Board of the Heart of America Bone Marrow Donor Registry as Vice-President.

BETSY SPRATLIN BALLARD, Associate

Ms. Spratlin-Ballard received her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism in 2002 from the University of Kansas, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2005. She began working at the Law Office of Sharon J. Meyers in November 2004 as a law clerk, and became an associate following admittance to the Missouri Bar in 2005. She serves as a board member for the Young Friends of the Childrens' Center for the Visually Impaired and is actively involved with the Mid-America Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

CARA J. TERRELL, Associate

Ms. Terrell received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from William Jewell College and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, in 2004, where she was the Articles Editor for the ABA Journal, The Urban Lawyer. She began working at the Law Offices of Sharon J. Meyers in January 2004 as a law clerk, and became an associate following admittance to the Missouri Bar in the fall of 2004. In addition, Ms. Terrell is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association.

MICHAEL T. MILLER, Law Clerk

Mike is currently attending law school at the University of Missouri, Kansas City.  He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with Honors as an undergraduate, also at UMKC.  Currently, he serves as a staff associate on the UMKC Law Review and the Urban Lawyer.  Mike began as a law clerk at the Law Offices of Sharon J. Meyers in June of 2007 and is looking forward to graduating in May of 2009.
